First Guitar Lesson

In this session we’ll discuss your musical interests and what you what from learning guitar. If you’re new to the instrument, we’ll usually start with common chord shapes and strumming to help you up and running as quick as possible.

If you have any prior experience, I ask if you feel comfortable playing any riffs or songs you know. This lets assess your current level and prepare appropriate material for future guitar lessons.

Weekly 40 minutes lessons are recommended for beginner and intermediate players, and 1 hour lessons for more advanced players.

I also offer longer sessions with more experienced players looking for periodic mentoring. We can cover advanced theory or technique, composition & improvisation, or provide feedback on your general musicianship.
